Geeks come in all shapes and sizes and when it comes to “popping the question” to your geek-lovin’ lady, have no fear, we have the lowdown on the how, what, where, and when.

eHarmony UK has a “geek-tastic” infographic titled The Geek’s Guide to Proposing.

It has some great info laid out in a very entertaining way. It’s filled with “geek-speak” and QR codes but explained so that everyone from the mild-mannered geek to the cool, hip, techno-geek can understand it. My favorite is the History of Geeky Proposals. Check it out below…

HuffingtonPost Weddings has a great article about 12 Wedding “Rules” Every Bride Should Feel Free to Break that aren’t necessarily valid anymore to today’s brides and grooms. While some are very old customs, others are more recent trends.

Here are a few of the rules:

  1. The groom can’t see the bride before the wedding.
  2. Sleeping separately the night before.
  3. Wearing a white dress.

The bottom line is that it is YOUR wedding and you should feel free to make it your own.

If you want to wear a pink bridal gown, do it. Want to get all of your professional photos done before the ceremony, go right ahead.

Do what you want and don’t worry about having to plan by the “rules”.
